Three Little Birds

The Little Learning Nest Nursery School

“Everything is possible, even the impossible.”

- Mary Poppins

The Little Learning Nest Nursery School has been serving families in our community since 2016. After decades of experience in education, Miss Jen made her dream of being like Mary Poppins a reality by moving her preschool classroom to her home. Children, 3 months to 3 years, come to play and learn in a home filled with love, kindness, curiosity, wonder, and grace.

  • Early Childhood Education

We offer an at home child-centered learning environment. The goals and objectives of The Creative Curriculum establish our learning foundation. We also encourage self-directed learning habits from the Montessori learning method.

  • Social-Emotional Development

Healthy relationships begin with identifying and regulating our own emotions. We value the mental and physical growth of each child. Peer and caregiver interactions provide practice for forming healthy attachments and making responsible choices.

  • Weekly Learning Opportunities

Weekly unit lessons include a theme along with a letter, a number, a shape, and a color. We share an extensive library to teach weekly concepts and grow early literacy skills. Fine and gross motor development practice is offered through age appropriate toys, puzzles, games, and occasional arts/crafts.

  • Daily Routines

From infant to toddler to preschooler, our day follows a consistent schedule. Infants follow Babywise sleep patterns of wake/eat/sleep with widening wake windows. Toddlers transition from a morning and afternoon nap routine to one long afternoon nap. Preschool kiddos also have afternoon rest time. Feeding schedules are more specific for infants while toddlers+ typically have two snack times and lunch. A school day also may include circle time, free play, music and movement, outdoor play, and arts/crafts.
